It's all about the food: Experiments with Pixelmator #2

It's all about the food.

Food is an important part of my life. My earliest food memory is of making rice crispy cakes with my mum and sister. A bit later we used to bake sponge cakes with food colouring. A few years ago a family friend told me he used to dread eating my luminous multi-coloured creations.

The best present I ever received was a month long cookery school at The Grange given to me by my parents for my 21st birthday.

My latest experiment with Pixelmator is a little homage to the food. From left to right we have:

Pestle and mortar making the Sailors Thai curry paste. My goodness it is a good curry.

A pastrami sandwich from Katz's deli in New York. An obscenely large sandwich with a disappointing pickle on the side. "I'll have what she's having!"

Tucking into homemade corned beef hash. Made in homage to the Summit Diner that appeared in the last collage.

Sydney's finest Portuguese custard tart from Petersham, followed by Sydney's best bacon and egg sandwich from Orange Grove markets in Leichardt.

More Pixelmator fun coming soon.

  1. Ooh, this looks really good! I mean, both the header and the food. Love the new template too.

Don't forget to put your previous headers in a post somewhere so we can all reminisce :)
