Hendrik's Gin presents the Theatre of Curiosities

Night's like last Wednesday make me fall in love with Sydney.

Hendrik's Gin were throwing another one of their quirky events. This time it was an evening at Slide, in Darlinghurst, organised for all of their Facebook fans.

The G&Ts and lethal gin cocktails were flowing in the intimate venue. We got to enjoy some tasty canapés too. The crowd was full of beautiful, unpretentious, people who combined to create a great atmosphere. Does it get any better? I enjoyed myself. A lot.

Thankfully I timed my gin intake perfectly. With no hangover the next morning, I had a clear head packing for my weekend trip to Brisbane.

The Queen of Hearts was compare for the evening. In between G&T's there were a number of circus acts to keep the crowd entertained.

The Space Cowboy was sword swallowing, swinging irons from his eye lids and did something highly unnatural with a fish hook. At times I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cringe. Any ideas what those three lumps on his sternum are? They gave me the heebie jeebies.

The hula hoops were also fun.

My good friend Simon was there too. The smart man bought his flash as the club was pretty dark which made photos a challenge!
