I had an email from my friend Mike today alerting me to the fact I appeared in the Guardian!
The Guardian's Running Blog recently featured an article entitled Why don't black people run marathons? To empahise their point they used a photo of Marcus Ryder surrounded by white faces at last years Amsterdam Marathon.
If I'd known I was going to appear in the paper I would have tried not to have had such a terrible grimace on my face!
He might have been looking a lot fresher than me when the photo was taken, but I beat Marcus by exactly one minute.
