Anti-malarial pills

I'm lucky enough to be off to Costa Rica on Saturday. Over the weekend the guide book got me scared enough to decide to buy some anti-malarial tablets.

As the first does needs to be taken a week before departure I popped them straight away. I've heard a few horror stories about the side effects of anti-malarials. One of the side effects of the brand I have bought include blindness (!). I'm currently suffering from extreme paranoia and every time I blink I think there is something wrong with my eyesight.

Silly I know.......

  2. It's called Chloroquine. I get the impression that it is one of the weaker anti-malarials. I am worrying far too much......

  5. Hey again Richard! Have fun on your trip, I'm mighty jealous! I think it was chloroquine I took when I was in central America. It wasn't too bad....just some very very vivid dreams!!
